I live in the country now. :( 1.5 miles down a dirt road.

so my car will likely be dirty, always. Took this in the back yard an hour ago, or so.

That is a beautiful backyard (and I usually only say that to women)

At least silver hides dirt!

Hi Darin... nice to see that you're still around and still have the 8.

Beware of those Michigan winters though... probably still better than the winters in Minnesota

That's a lot of yard work.
8 Looks real cool in that shot.
Less industrial chemicals and pollutants but more tree sap and bugs.

I see a life preserver tube. Is there a lake nearby?

Thanks guys.

We're on 10 acres now; the edge of the pond is in the shot, hence the life ring/coffee cup. :D

Can see the water better in this one:

http://www.d-mphotos.com/rx8_backyard2.jpg

Pluses: Can shoot/hunt on the land. Can fish.

Negatives: House needs cosmetic work. 35 mile commute now.

re: Winters... The 8 gets garaged when the temps get below 40. I have a legacy GT spec. B (stage 3), and my wife has her F150 Supercrew - when the weather gets fun! :D

Indeed, the LGT is pretty cool; sorta getting older now - might look for something larger (thatswhatshesaid) someday. But - 300 or so awhp from a weird-looking subaru surprises folk in their muscle cars.

You are lucky and enjoy. Sure beats the concrete jungle in South Florida. The 8 looks great and very happy with it's new home.

It'll be fine, Jedi. Car needs a ton of work anyway. Paint is terrible mazda horse-****. have some bent braces under, missing most of the plastic under-tray, and car smells like hay inside.

That scenery is amazing,
your car might get dirty but it can always be cleaned.
I'd rather have that scenery than seeing pavement everywhere.

I know what you mean! I love the color of my NG but I HATE the quality of the paint... I want to have the car repainted the same color with better paint. (Maybe single stage laquer)

Have fun in the dirt! I drive on a 1 mile gravel road on my way to the school farm and it SUCKS! But it beats the hell out of riding a over crowded bus. Great picture BTW

That tree is about 200 feet from the house; we're good. It may, however, fall a bit on the barn, pictured.
