GTR hood scoops installed w/ Pics
Hey guys haven't posted in awhile. Finally got around to cutting in the GTR hood scoops for cooling. Originally they were 2x2 carbon, I ended up color matching them. Figured I would post up some pics. Autobahn or new Feed front will be going back on next month, and I should be getting it in the shop for a paintjob. Enjoy

....no. $120 set. They do fit a GTR though, carbon replacements from Japan. Im kind of feeling out the look, im back and forth on them........ I thought I would give it a shot before I spent the money on vented hood and had the car painted in a month

They are simply NACA ducts, not "GTR hood scoops". Its a standard design on many cars and planes.

Generally, we need to get the hot air out if the back of the radiator is open.
In a stock configuration if you let air in from the bonnet I expect it will end somehow find a way out. I could be applied in reverse to suck hot air out.

Is that for an intercooler? If it a stock car then all it is doing is blowing air onto the plastic cover with minimal benefit for cooling.
I have seen a video on a mini with a supercharger and the original posters hood scoop is in a zone that will suck in air. A good way to test this is tape some strips of material around the scoop and see if it gets sucked in towards the scoop.
Ideally, it would be nice to have it recessed however that will be a lot of work. In the GTR it is used to cool the turbo. In my application I can direct cool air to the supercharger casing to keep it cool while the other side can direct cool air to the intake plenum.
