Looks like NAV will be of the pop-up variety... I haven't seen that 'lid' above the HVAC display bar before.
On a semi-related note, does anyone else miss the deep black cover over that upper display? It looks cheap now.

Cool. Looks like the side curtain airbags will suffice instead of side seatback airbags. The 8 likely has seat-belt pretensioners also. They snug the belt below your hips milliseconds before you take the full brunt of a facial bag deployment, preventing 'submarining' and internal organ damage.

I like the curtain bags. That way I can get some Recaro SRD's in there and still have good side protection. Damn, so many sweet cars out nowadays . . .

I hang out there too... I once had a 2000 GTI 1.8T, and will buy another if the RX-8 does not thrill me AND VW gets the coilpack issue resolved.
