RX-8 Revival..?
What do you think are the chances that we will see a second-generation rx-8?

It is so hard to read into these articles, as everything seems to indicate that an RX-7 is years away, yet, this "Sky-Rotary" seems to be in development for a second generation RX-8.

Ha Ha, sorry folks. Didn't realize we were so sensitive. Perhaps a little excited to see our wonderful little engine make some positive future news. And the hint of a re designed RX-8 is pretty cool

Ah no, there is a series 2 RX8 that has received a face lift.
Think back to the RX7 days as a comparison. The 1st Gen RX7 was a series 1,2 & 3. The 2nd Gen was series 4 & 5. The 3rd Gen (in N.A.) was a series 6.
A new generation RX8 would look different and be mechanically different from the current one. The one thing it would have in common with the current one would be the 2+2 layout.

Exactamonto. The engine is the heart of the car. A second generation RX-8 to me would have to have a new engine that would address some of the issues the current Renesis had. Sky-Rotary perhaps on a brrand new edesigned RX-8?
