edit: I don't think there's anything new or concrete. just speculation that the 16x could be dual fuel, running on diesel or gas.

...and i didn't like the comment "the current RX-8 rotary swallows burns more oil than it should"
It burns more than a piston engine, not more than it should. If a piston engine had to lubricate the cylinder heads, it would burn "lots" of oil too.
