This RX8 may look tidy with it’s stock body but don’t be fooled, there are small details that give you a hint of what lurks underneath the blue skin.
Few "SMALL" details ............... . Yeah right !

eh, 1000hp from the older 13B is old news.

i actually want to see someone successfully make some real figures on the MSP, but we already know how that would turn out.

1000 whp is old news for the 13B-RE and REW, yes. Old news for a full chassis RX-8? Not that I recall.

wheel horsepower is wheel horsepower no matter what the chassis is. the engine is producing the power, not the car that it is sitting in.

if we're talking ETs, then yes.. chassis is important(there, i gave you an out).

Well you practically stated the obvious. The point of this thread is 1000whp in a full RX-8 chassis. Which is unheard of until now (correct me if I'm wrong).

i guess i just don't really see the importance of it. it's just 4 wheels, suspension and a body.

the whole drivetrain is not from an RX8. not like he's going to punch in the navigation to the nearest grocery store or hit the cruise control to have a nice leisurely trip.

not trying to intentionally **** in your cheerios, but i'm sure many other people also don't see the importance of it. there's plenty of cars that get gutted, transplanted, pushed to the limits that aren't really what you started with anymore.

I kinda agree .
1000hp Rx8 is cool and all but not really something we can relate to .
The recipe to make a reliable/streetable 500hp from a Renesis ..... THAT would be exciting.

Exactly. Its awesome to see that power in the 8s chassis, but the real trick would be getting our motor to successfully put out a couple hundred more hp without knowing an engine replacement is only weeks away

i'd drop in an isuzu V6 and get 1300whp.

you would probably need a time machine to get an accurate dyno reading from one:

You haven't been keeping up with the thread. Isuzus can make over 1400hp no problem.

A piston can make 3,000 HP not impressed but a Rotary make 500+ HP I'm impressed . Love the look of the car and the toys attached to it .:-)
