Thumbs up Rotary Engine Illustrated Web Site

I just stumbled across an amazing site loaded with rotary engine animations and explanations. For those that haven't yet seen it, take a look.

This rotary engine of ours is absolutely amazing...

Cool page. Thanks for sharing.

Brings back a childhood memory that’s been “popping up” ever since I’ve started down the “8” path.

I was always intrigued by engines as a child. Should have been a warning sign. I remember wanting to get a working model that I would put together of a V-8. However, there was always something else to buy when I had the cash. Pretty expensive based on my early budget as I recall. So finally one day, I found this clearance engine model. I thought not exactly what I want but would be cool to build. It was a rotary and I had no idea what that was at the time. All I can remember about it (aside from I bought it at Sears :D ) was that I could NEVER get it to go together so it would work. I remember sitting down like a dozen times trying to get that darn thing together. Coming up with the same results each time.

I guess it’s fitting that I’m now driving a “haunting” childhood memory. I wonder if I could get it together with the help of this page’s information …

Speaking of cool pages....this is one of my favorites.

At the very bottom is Chucks of REs, Rx-8 dyno. Click on different cars, then push the button at the bottom for a comparison. CJ
