OK folks – I need your help. We need to update the RX-8 FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions – for those that don’t know) and here’s your chance to help/participate. It is not an easy task and I am certainly no expert in most matters buy I am willing to put in some time into organizing what I receive from you. Specially you guys that already have these answers in your inbox!

What we need to include in the updated version is all of these issues that keep coming up like:
How to break the car in.
How to avoid flooding
When/How/change oil.
Mileage issue summary
Recall/Buyback info (like a summary)
Typical noises and quirks
Typical RX-8 vs Other cars (350z, wrx, etc) comparisons
Where to get aftermarket parts
Most common mods
And many more

You get the idea…

1st rule – unless it is a general post comment/suggestion – send your write up to me by private message.
2nd – be honest and tactful (although a little bias is accepted) J
3rd – keep it to the main subject that you are addressing

Any other rules are welcomed.

So – do I have any takers, helpers, ??? If you wanna help – go ahead and post to this message and tell me what area you want to volunteer for so that someone else knows. But send me the actual text to me by PM.

Maybe mention some tires issues (like, low milage is normal) and replacement suggestions (potenza s-03 and BFGoodrich's gForce T/A KDW) springs to mind.

I'd be happy to write up a winter tire and winter wheel article for the FAQ. I'd also volunteer to write up a "synthetic oil is OK" article, but that might be a bit more controversial!

I will offer some of my time to pull some topics off of the board and put into an informative post. As most of us know, you can search for one topic and end up reading for quite a while looking for a satisfactory answer.
