Yep, anothing plast dip thread.

Just like the title says guys and gals. First things first, if your one of the plasti dip haters just hit the back button or click the X and dont waste my time. Alright, my question is...has anyone used the "vintage gold" or the

I want to dip my emblems and my stock wheels in gold, preferably a bright gold. Before I purchase $1,000+ gold wheels. So my question is, do I put a few coats of black on the emblems and wheels FIRST, THEN the metalizer? If anyones used this stuff, would you mind helping me out and posting a picture? Id greatly appreciate it.

Yeah man you have to plastidip the emblems and wheels first and then do the gold metalizer over that. That's gonna look ill man, it will be a show stopper for sure. I can't wait to see it.

funny thing is, you comment on every single topic about plasti dip. trust me, EVERYONE knows your opinion on the stuff. We just DONT care. You have a nice car, and you obviously know your stuff, but you also put your nose where it doesnt belong. My post was mainly towards you because I just knew you wouldnt be able to stay away from the plasti dip threads. Thanks for nothing.

Whether it is well concealed sarcasm or not, there is no reason to start in on a fight from your end....

Only thing I've plastidipped so far has been the emblems, and I can say I'm very happy with the result!

Why spend $60 plus on new black emblems when you can buy a can for $8 and take an hour to do....

Don't understand all the hate surrounding Plastidip, I think it's a great idea.

They have tons of videos on youtube of the different ways to use those metalizers. If you want a "darker" gold, use black base plastidip. I think for a lighter one, use grey or something.

Again, they have PLENTY of videos online and the dipyourcar forums is where you want to be looking for answers to this question imo. They have people who even experiment and do their own custom mixes of paints, that could help you.
