WTB - Transmission & Differential Oil
With the weather getting a little nicer I'm looking to change out the transmission and differential oil in my car.
I have some credit at Advance Auto Parts and was trying to figure out what I needed (and how much of it) to change out the transmission and differential oil.
I've read that the 2 best brands are Redline and Royal Purple, but it doesn't seem like AAP carries Redline.
Can anyone help me out and tell me exactly what I need to buy? The car is a MT

I use Redline for the transmission and differential.
Red Line 50304 Manual Transmission (MT) 90W Gear Oil
Red Line 75W90 NS GL-5 Gear Oil Manual Transmission/Transaxle Gear Oil
Enjoy your car.

Ask GT-R owners if they would trust Nissan's GT-R Transmission oil.
Well, for our "regular, Aisin" transmission, no special fluid needed. OEM or whatever is good, as long as you get the right one(weight and grade)
FSM calls for GL4 or 5 for tranny, and GL5 for Rear. but for some reason people don't like Royal Purple. I had no problems with it (about 20K miles) before I swap it out to Redline MT-90, YMMV of course.

I haven't changed those fluids yet in my 8; but I have used Redline MT-90 in my Toyota truck and previous vehicles and royal purple for the diff.
Not sure why people claim negative results with RP either

At the end of the day everyone is going to have their own opinions on what works for them. I am using Ford Motorcraft in my tranny and it is FAR more smooth than the Redline fluid was. Redline fluids gave me a rough 1st to 2nd shift and would constantly block a 3rd to 2nd shift.
