what i should do first?

How about "read about all the mods that others have done".

Then decide what's best for you.

Why would you take suggestions from random strangers?

just looking for some exciting mods. the purpose of a forum is the experience of other rx8 owners. what did you do first? and what not. if i was interested in what others have done i would look in that direction. what im interested in is what you did that made the most impacted on your'e rx8, not necessarily what you have done to your'e car but what you thought was the most bang for your buck.

There have been a ton of threads asking that same thing, search for maybe "best mod" or something similar and I bet it brings up lots of reading. Do a search on google thats your best bet, do this without quotes "site:rx8club.com best mod".

I'd say my exhaust was great for the sound. Makes driving more enjoyable but overall I would have to say the Cobb Ap with MM tune made the greatest impact. The car drives so much better that it was worth every penny.

All your maintenance up to date? If not then that is def the 1st place to start. Tires are your best bang for buck mod.

The op wants other people's opinions before he/she decides what's best by spending a thousand dollars or so on mods.

Anyway, if i were you, i'll spend the money on lowering the suspension and getting a MS body kit.

See?

You ask a stupid question, this is the answer you'll get.

Monchie tells EVERYBODY to lower their car, it's what he does, his raison d'être, his justification for existence, indeed - his cause célèbre.

It's all Monchie will tell you and 100% entirely predictable.

If you scanned the forum, even for one day, you'd already know this.......

Just sayin'

Yep, rather than lurk and search to figure out who to listen to he instead ignores those very people and listens to the first clueless f-cktard that posts what he wants to hear. Six months from now when someother hapless noob wanders in who do you think will be parrottimg the identical polly wants a clueless f-cktard cracker BS? And the cycle of clueless f-cktardedness continues ....

The op doesn't have to listen to me, the op wants other people's opinion on what will be his/her first mod. Why start a thread like this in the first place then? Just my .02 cents.

The top answers you'll probably find around will be:
Cobb AP with tuning from MM: $600 and in the opinion of many will be the best money you'll spend moddin the car.

AFE Short Shifter: $260 still by far one of my favorite mods completely changes the feel of the shifter, shorter throws less lateral movement and much more precise than the OEM unit

Sway Bars, there are alot of options but you can pick up a set for about $300, completely changes the feel of the car and the adjustability allows you to setup your suspension the way you want

Hope this helps, some people on this forum are useless, when someone is asking about what's the best bang for their buck they're usually referring to performance mods. But then again if thats not what you're referring to you could be like monchie and cut your springs, that's free haha

thanks "kma" thats some good feedback. ill look into it. just what i was looking for!

T.rx8 & Stealth = idiots.
obviously im not going to lower my car and put a body kit on it. im not completely stupid. you two really missed the point of this.

just looking for some good advice like kma supplied i just came from the DSM market and would like to know of some performance parts that made the rx8 owners to go "F**k yeah"

if you just want to criticize people then go elsewhere you just come off stupid.

Glad I could help but don't take what I was saying the wrong way about some people being useless, I was referring to posts like monchie made.

Team and Stealth are both veteran members of this forum and have a lot of knowledge to share, their responses are just a result of a lot of new members on here lately that are too lazy to search and find the answers they are looking for and some people just don't have the patience for it especially when some of the things are so easy to find within the vast knowledge this forum provides.

HAHAHA no. IF you had searched, you would find that these two have contributed a lot to this forum. What are you going for? asking what you should do is a very broad question. Do you want appearance over performance? Or the other way around? There is only one answer to this thread.

What do you want to do first?

Our society wants us to ask for what we need instead of deciding it for ourselves. It's easier to sell products in this way

Sorry to go off topic but I feel like calling out monchie. I don't have a high post count because most of the time the info I have questions to is already out there (search+read>getting flamed). Anyways I've noticed a trend with monchie. he posts bs that I even think is ridiculous and then he gets criticized for it. Honestly monchie if you'd learn anything you'd just be quiet and learn to read. If you can't do that then I suggest selling your 8 and buying a civic. At least your ricer knowledge will be welcomed on those forums.

We criticize him for the sole purpose of reading his comments. We know that it is stupid to do so since he won't understand but indeed feel important and continue in his path of stupidity.

Monchie is a necessary evil for rx8club. A lot of members would look stupid without him posting his crazy crap.
