What are the vent slot things that are on the doors? I mean the things that make the door side vents look sharp? And where can I get some? Thanks

 

they're called 'strakes', ebay has them cheap

 

And the dealer has them expensive...

Has anyone got the starkes that are already painted on ebay? Are they cheap? should you expect to get what you pay for and get the expensive ones? or just the chrome ones? Thanks

 

mine are painted silver, 70 from ebay, chrome will be around 140 i believe.

The strakes from the dealership are aluminum. The "painted" ones on eBay are cheaper, but plastic.

 

If you can't find them on ebay you can get them here for about $10 more. They have just about every finish available.

 

the chrome ones from howard (the uk guy) are really well made and worth the higher cost. they are not some cheap things but really nice heavy metal strakes

Does anyone have these strakes?? What do they look like? It says they are mirror/chrome looking, but in the picture, they almost look like a dark grey color. I am looking to get chrome strakes (like the color of chromes wheels), but i'm afraid these may be too dark.
