Well... Since this thread should have some activity every day without fail...
Today I went to Wally World looking for bullets and beer (because Wally World is only good for bullets, beer, and motor oil) and found Shell Rotella T6 5W40 on sale for $15 per 5 quart bottle, I bought 3 bottles. (Only use this good stuff if you are catless, and please do not re-ignite the oil wars in this thread). Later, I went into the garage and gawked at my 8 as it peacefully sat there with its battery tender attached. A week from Saturday is another track day, so this Saturday we will spend some quality time together getting ready...

I flushed my coolant today. I was in 10 mph interstate traffic with 60 degree ambient temp and my oil temp jumped up to almost 240 for a minute. Plus, with an autocross event coming up this weekend... decided to do it ASAP.
Now running 12 oz Water Wetter, and filled the rest with 30% Prestone and 70% distilled water. During a hard run at 50 degree ambient temp, it stayed a good 15-25 degrees cooler than normal. It peaked at about 200 and averaged about 180.
I can't wait to see how it does sitting in traffic and at the event.

I washed mine, changed her oil, wired up a switch for the fans on low, and replaced the cat with the Racing Beat dual resonated mid pipe I was going to insulate the radiator and AC lines but ran short on time. I have Sunday all to myself though so I should be able to finish up!

Should have been more specific. I wired up a switch for the radiator's cooling fans. I drive in a decent amount of slow traffic and it would be ideal to get some more airflow through the radiator while creeping forward. I do not have an AccessPort and therefore cannot set a lower temperature for the fans to come on. This seems to be one of the best, most cost-effective alternatives.

I decided to order the Oracle halo kit from Oracle Lights|4wheelonline.com The shop gave me a good discount, and good thing my buddy will help me install this kit since I'm afraid that I might break my headlights.

Finally got my omp adapter installed. I have a 1qt reservoir for the 2 stroke. I wish it were larger, but fits so nicely between the washer fluid tank and the shock tower. Unfortunately I ran out of time to change the oil, but will be next.

Been busy with the 8. Full base cloth to Series II black leather power/heated driver seats and panels swap. Everything was direct swap on my 06, power and heat worked with no modification or rewiring. Also on the exterior I finished the oem appearance package installation.
Series II interior swap to 2006. Direct swap, no rewiring.
Front mud guards and side & rear skirts.

Thank you. I had a similar problem with the first engine. It has an internal coolant leak that caused my engine to loose compression. The last day I drove it, the engine sounded like a WRX with an aftermarket exhaust. I thought it was clogged at first because it was sputtering. The engine was on it's last leg and I was mentally prepared for the engine's last run.

Just picked up a 2004 BM GT for next to nothing and it ran surprisingly. But once you turn it off i quickly realized I just had my first experience on a low compression rotary thank god it wasn't on my shinka. The power difference is incredible going back and forth between a healthy rotary and low compression makes me wonder how you can get used to that power loss. But then again I drove my gf car once while it was misfiring and she had no clue there was a problem, but at least she is pretty.

Cleared up my clouded headlight covers
Used the toothpaste and old brush method to clear off the oxidation and then sealed it up.
2. Take old toothbrush and some standard toothpaste (not gel kind) and brush in circles like brushing teeth. Took about 15 minutes until I no longer saw yellow in the toothbrush. Mid-way I took wet towel to wipe off toothpaste and did fresh brushing with new dab of toothpaste.
3. Rinsed and dried to the point where I saw an even coat of cloudiness.
4. Put on some latex gloves.
5. Took some leftover UV Clear Coat paint I had from when I bought a Sylvania Headlight Restoration Kit, dabbed it multiple times until nice a moist blue shop towel corner section of about 3in x 3in.
6. Made one row wipe across the headlight cover. Dabbed in clear coat again to do next row and next row until whole cover was done. I tried not to overlap with the previous rows.
7. New looking headlight covers!

Last night, I put my cat back on, put a new set of street brakes on, and put my street wheels back on. I need to take advantage of a 3 week window to get it inspected, then it's back to track configuration for next month--time to cast off all that street crap until July!

Started it and took a slow drive through the neighborhood. It's been parked since early December because of a medical problem. Started immediately, with no more pre-park prep than putting it on battery tender. Then enough of a drive to get it up to temperature and make the tires round again.
Not a really big event compared to others in this thread, but it felt great to be back behind the wheel again.
