Not today but last week purchased my stash of Idemitsu Premix and Idenitsu Oil.

Went to MazdaTrix which is local around here.

Idemitsu is mixed according to the crew there, 1/2 OZ per gallon. About 7-8 OZ per full gas tank

I have been using Royal Purple Synthetic for ever and no complaints. Excellent job. Upon my visit realized Idemitsu Oil (made for Rotary Engines) costs same as RP. So I bought a stash and will use it from now on.

Good to have a place like Maxdatrix where I can ask experts and racers. Talked to the MazdaTrix patriarch and racer himself.

Cool stuff my my Mazda It is a spoiled kid !

replaced radiator (biggest part was removing the lower splash pan), Oil change, Changed original trans fluid with synchromesh, removed front calipers to be painted red, removed front headlight leveling sensor and took it apart. RIP sensor.
Since I cant post a thread or find any current threads stating where people are purchasing new ones, I'll ask here. Where Y'all getting new ones from. I've seen parts geek but don't know them.
Still on list fix air bellow issues, rear dif fluid, and rear calipers. All for Friday's trip to tail of the dragon.

I went back to stock sway bar bushings.

It's amazing how bad the aftermarket bushings made the ride quality

May or may not have scared the car full of cute girls by flooring the car after it's required warm up through a fairly long on ramp. The look on the face when I blew past them at about 8-9k you would have sworn I was apparently in an F1 car with all the noise. And none of the speed. Took it up to a friends for a game night, then wound our way back down home while avoiding most of the rice and race nonsense.

Today I pulled her out of the garage and cleaned her up. Then got depressed since i cant get it out of the driveway due to having the end of my driveway re-concreted. She is stuck for another 5 days waiting on the concrete to set.

Have to drive the silverado for the next week. Guess i get a week of maintenance on the 8. First thing in the morning, she is getting her sohn put on and a radiator flush for the winter prep. I might finally get around to straightening her oil cooler fins and screens installed.

Got it off jack stands after a week and a half. Had to spin oil filter off with a long prybar and hammer. Front calipers painted, oil change, trans fluid swapped to Synchromeash, changed the radiator, and fixed the intake bellows. Noticed it short cycles. Need to check the A/C next. Ready for it's trip to Knoxville and tail of the dragon this weekend. Also ordered front headlight leveling sensor.

I painted my crooked, rusty muffler flat black and polished the tail pipes.

I changed the coils, plugs, and wires to current C coil specs. I'll post details later including interesting wire config and extras using the OEM to OEM replacement..

Lisle Specialty Tools is your friend. No filter has ever defeated this: Lisle Corporation Import Car Filter Wrench

Didn't look that bad before, but it does look good after! Bar-b-que paint, I assume?

Thanks, I'm happy with the way it turned out. Yeah, high-temp Rustoleum for grills. I hope it sticks. I went at with a wire wheel on my power drill to etch it up before degreasing.

Was Great. For some reason I can't post pictures or start new threads or I'd post pictures. The woman drove was like a roller coaster ride.

First Post on the forums!!!

I just bought my first rx8 (came with flashing CEL, I have no money but am prepared to save for an engine; I have wanted one of these long enough to know what brunking is.)

So today I just stared at it while it smiled at me through the window and I smiled back of course
