What is this connector?
I've had my '04 a couple of years but have not been able to find out about a wire that comes out of the headliner by the rearview mirror and has a 'phone jack' type connector. Any thoughts?

Did you buy the car used? Possibly a power connector for a Escort radar detector?

I did buy it used.
I looked at Escort online and the connector definitely looks like it. So then, the wire runs under the headliner and is hard-wired somewhere?

I hard wired a older R.D. into the light. I have not to my Escort yet. You would have to take out the light assembly to see how that wire is connected.
