Veilside is overpriced and cheaply built, you can get the same stuff at erebuni.net

I'm kinda partial to the FD C-West kit. As long as one doesn't use a absurdly large wing with it. The stock '99+ spoiler would do just fine.

This car is just about perfect. It's even a good color.
C-West FD

RB and RE Ememiya make some cool FD kits too.

i think that the c-west kit is one of the best kits for the fd, i was actually thinking of getting one of those for mine...personally i think that the mazdaspeed 25th anniversary wing is one of the best for the fd IMO

Veilside and Erebuni look like ****. I saw an FD once with the Veilside kit and just about barfed. Why anyone would spend good money to make a beautiful car look ugly I will never understand.

To each their own...

It may look "terrible" to you and probably only you but its anything but a "poor" car, it runs mid 9's and its street legal and if you think its still a "poor" car go get some help.

I didn't say it wasn't fast, I said I thought it was ugly. No need to get all huffy and defensive about it.

IMHO the FD3S is one of the 2 nicest Japanese sports cars of all time (other being the SW20 MR2). Any body mods to this car, other than updating to later model parts, is taking away from the design.

also what do they mean by N/A

and is the RX-8 1.3 Litre engine similar in fuel consumption as a piston 1.3 Litre engine?

Normally Aspirated

Probably not. From what I have been reading, being new to rotaries also, is that the 1.3 L rotary is more similar to a 2.6 L piston engine.

FD is the designation of the model run in the VIN. "JM1FD..." is a 3rd gen RX-7, FC is a 2nd gen RX-7, and SA is a 1st gen enerywhere but North America, where the '81-'85 RX-7 was an FB.

based on what mazda said so far, Rx-8 should have official average consumption of around 24-28 MPG... which means it will burn a lots of fuel since most ppl will drive it hard

I would think that fuel consumption would be much much less since turbo's are out, but according to mazda, it is up to 30% less, in certain driving conditions

Gotta agree with KrisA. I'll never understand how anyone can think an angular bodykit on a smooth-lined and naturally beautiful car could look good, especially that front bumper . Honestly, my FD didn't even have a factory spoiler as I felt it ruined the sleek smooth shape.
