top speed

ok so ive looked at a few threads on here where people are talking about top speeds and most people say 150 around there. but my question is how much power would be required to reach the 180+ that is possible with the gears. im not stupid enough to try it in my stock car but i just want to know what it would take to push through the resistance at 150 and reach 180+

Why do you need to go 180+?

you'll need to find a good downhill run to achieve it. I suggest the Grapevine mountain slope in California. Ive seen some 18 wheelers doing close to that when they lose their brakes sometimes.
