Sticky Situation
I thought I would share my experience this morning. There is a long history but basically my center console would not stay open, it kept sliding shut. Anyways I took it in to have it fixed and was told it would take about an hour so I waited. Finally the service manager came over and said I had to get a rental because when they were just finishing up putting the new lid on they broke one of the clips and attempted to glue it back on. Well the service guy spilled glue in my car and I am getting new carpets, floormats, center console and anywhere else the glue got on. I was told it would be ready tomorrow but I will see.
I am just glad they noticed it and I didnt sit or put my feet in it on the way home and got glued to my car!!

Is this a dealer in Orlando? If you don't mind me asking which one?

As for the console it is not suppose to slide shut on its own, mine used to slide open and stay there until I gave it a nudge to close it. Having it close on its own is very very annoying.
maybe they could of slipped it by you if they would'nt have spilled the gorrilla glue. we all should keep in mind that maybe some of the Mazda technician exstordineurs(wonderboys) in the shop are not all that bright, but I will say you also do have some that are damn good ........
Its a gamble any way you look at it

just hope they do a good job. carpets are a pain in the ***. when you get it back, make sure all the plastic trim is secure. also make sure the carpet is tucked away neatly. there are gonna be broken clips, just make sure they replaced them all.
Ok I picked up the car tonight, everything looks good and you cant tell they pulled it all apart. What they did do was on the work order they put that I complained about the center console warping, which I did not. Also that the passenger side carpet was fraying, which I did not. I guess this way it is all covered under the warranty and they can stick Mazda with the bill. The only thing I noticed is the shift boot is no longer lined up with the stitching, and it bunches up when I put it into first gear. Now I will have to take the shift **** off and see if I can align the stitches on the boot.
