For those who say Rx8's are slow.

First post on this site so far. I have been reading alot of people on here saying how slow the 8's are.

So far I have raced:

2006 BMW 330i multiple times which is also my brothers car, Mods BMS power box and a cold air intake.

2011 Chrysler 300c Hemi Stock.

2005 Wrx Sti it was modded but I have no clue what he had done, it was a random race.

2008 BMW M3 Stock which is my buddies car.

2006 BMW 330i, I beat By two car lengths from start and roll at 60mph.

2011 Chrysler I beat by a car length rolling at 70mph.

2005 Wrx I lost by have a car.

2008 BMW M3 I lost by 3 car lengths, This race was also taken when I had no mods.

Honestly I could say that the 8's are not slow!

Rx8 is a great track car and will hold its own against much more powerful cars. I don't think it is great off the line

Autocross is a great way to drive your car at the limits and usually costs $20-$40. It will really open your eye to what fast driving is, especially when you get someone who is really fast to drive your car.

Nothing in your post really came across as impressive. If there was only a half a car length against the sti, then the sti driver was doing something wrong or barely trying. The M3 wasn't even close, sorry. The chrysler doesn't sound right either. It's not amazingly faster than the 8 in a straight line, but it still should have been faster, unless it hit a rev limiter or something. Either way, you beat a full sized luxury sedan... congratulations?

We don't know the conditions for any of the races you mentioned, so it's a poor comparison at best. The best thing I can conclude from your post is that you might suck less at driving than some of the other drivers.

When you say edgewater, I hope you're not talking about the one west of Cincinnati.

If you are, please keep your racing there and not on the street. People suck at driving around here as it is. We don't need tards racing too.

I like your post, and as one who has yet to buy an rx8, I find it encouraging when a couple of these other cars are ones I'm also considering. I want to like the 8 the most, so posts like this help me do that, ha ha. Thanks for risking the street racing ban to post something that everyone on here wants to talk about deep down anyway.

Street racing isn't something we all want to talk about. It's immature and stupid, and the claims above mean nothing and are far fetched to say the least. Yes i've street raced in my youth, but i won't try to justify it. It was and still is dumb and immature. For all we know the OP is full of ****, the other drivers weren't actually racing, or he has the fastest 8 on the board. Regardless of the truth or bullshit, it isn't something you should base your purchase of a car on.

The stupidity of this hits home for me, since he lives in the same city. What if his recklessness causes an accident? What if it involves me, or worse my wife or family? Are you still going to cheer him on?

Jordan, please do us all a favor and research your purchase and base you decision on something tangible. Above all else, don't do stupid **** that puts others in danger.

We are a tight knit group here and we don't need some street racing idiots ruining the quality and integrity of this site, our community, or our family.

His post was useless and gives too little information to really mean anything. At best, we can make assumptions on the driving ability of the drivers. It's not like there's a lack of information on which of those cars is faster in straight line acceleration. If you wanted to know which of those cars would be faster than the 8, it was a simple google search away.

I used to get a lot of SRT4's want to race me on the lights. Luckily (for them), I'm not into street racing. Been there done that and its dumb. I did race a couple of susuki 1000's once and beat the crap out of both, does that make my rx8 fast?
