Thinking of getting a spoiler, but concerned about UV fading

Looking for a stock spoiler and I checked out a few on ebay and saw one of them guarantees paint match on cars up to 3 years old, but any older and they have experienced UV fading. I have an 05 so its within that 3 year time period, but I'm still concerned the paint wont quite match up (plan on getting the seller to paint it) Do I have anything to worry about? I searched and didn't find anything on UV fading.

what color is your car? It's usually not a huge problem.
I took some factory pin striping off of a 1997 dodge that was purple and the only difference was the clear coat was in better shape... once i buffed the surrounding area to match, you couldn't tell the difference. Paint didn't fade.

Now my red 1992 civic.... faded and dulled like crap.

rx8 i don't think you have much to worry about.

Nordic green... Would you see it more on a dark colored car?

I have NG and i got mine off Ebay. Paint is not PERFECT color match but it is not really noticeable unless you are right on top of it. I was apprehensive at first like you but i figured, what the hell it was cheap enough to where if i got it and it was way off i wouldnt be out much. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the spoiler AND how close the paint matched. Mine is an 04 BTW

Theres no way you can say how much the paint faded just by the year of the car... theres more that goes into it. Climate, how much time it spends outside, etc... My car is an 04 but the paint is in pristine condition because it only has 15,000 on it and sat in a garage most of its life. If you keep your car in a garage when you're not driving it you should be golden.

I've had it for 6 months and its sat outside every day at work, but after work it goes in the garage. What do I do if the paint doesn't exactly match? Could I have a body shop get a perfect match?
