Trajedy in the Garage

Yesterday we were in the Garage preparing to do an oil change and change the battery on the Accord. I hear this weird noise in the roof? About two weeks ago I had the attic insulation re-done and as a result moved much stuff from the attic to the shed. However the tech moved some items over to the side that covers the garage (I was not aware of that). Anyway I realize that something is about to come crashing through, my girlfriend jumps in the Honda backs out of the drive, I jump in the 8 and bam I hit the 5 ton Jack stand handle and yell out an obscenity, and then boom out of the ceiling an old stereo amplifier. So now I have this awesome hole in my fender as well as the equally awesome dent. My rear bumper has no damage, however you can see where the paint now has cracks from the impact. Strange thing is I was not even pissed. I just kind of shrugged it off and said oh well. I called the insurance company this morning, and they have the car as we speak getting ready to get the work done. Hopefully it will be done this weekend? More hopefully they don't total out the car because of it. It does not appear that it should be totaled, however just preparing myself for the worst.

Good thing it only damaged the fender. Could have been a lot worse.

I agree with this, luckily the fender is easily replaceable. It could of hit your hood, windshield, a-pillar. If it hit the a-pillar or roof, that would of been a real tragedy.

Update: beyond the fact that I spelled tragedy incorrectly.

I went to check on her today and some how the body shop got the insurance to pay for a pretty extensive amount of work. The complete front and rear fenders are laying on supports, rear lights are off and they were sanding the hood, both r/side doors. The little window on the rear door was removed. The car had little door dings on that side and they are going to fix them, which is pretty cool. I hope the right des not look too much better than the left. They say it should be done tomorrow. Although I don't drive it every day, I want her back in my garage where she belongs.
