Taking care of the 8
First and foremost im new to this forum, i just got my 8 about a month ago.
It's my first 8 and from what i've heard you really need to take care of the car to have it runnin at the best condition. So what are the ways?
I kno the basic of taking care of the car like change oils and fluids certain interval etc etc
but what other stuff do i need to do?

Those are the critical 2. Redline to keep it clean of carbon, and check oil levels frequently (recommended every other fill-up), and keep it above 1/2 on the dipstick.
The 8 burns oil intentionally, so it is entirely possible for it to burn through it's oil supply and destroy the engine. Your rate of burn is probably different from everyone else on here, so get to know your 8 personally.
Other than that, read all the stickies here, and the TSBs at Finishlineperformance.com for some of the known issues to be aware of.

If you want to take care of your RX-8, this is what I recommend:
1. Sohn adapter with 2 stroke oil (Or engine oil if you want).
2. Because you aren't injecting engine oil into the seals due to the sohn adapter, you're free to run synthetic oil without any worry.
3. AccessPort to increase oil injection rates and to decrease coolant fan activation temps.
4. Re-medy water pump to increase coolant flow
5. BHR radiator to increase cooling capacity
I also avoid 4k+ rpm till the car is fully warmed up (which does not mean oil temp gauge in the car!)
I like to change out the oil every 3k miles. Swap transmission/diff/coolant/spark plugs once a year, but that might be overkill

Bro, I think that you should make a maintenance thread seeing as how you have one of the most reliable turbo builds thus far.

i was recommended , beleive it or not, 20W=50. I live in Panama, wether here is like 94 all year round, it goes down to 78 fro, Mid Dec to Mid April, other than that, hot, hot, hot.
I also read here on this forum a mech recommended 20W-50. its thicker, will protect ur Engine.
Mazda wants U to use what they say 'cause they want U to go to them all the time.,

watch your tires! I can promise you that you will burn through your FRONT tires faster than you expect. Cornering hard is hell on the front tires especially, and cornering hard is what the 8 does best. Keep up on your tire rotations and you'll save some time between new rubber.
