Is the stock hood on the 05 RX-8 steel or aluminum?
my used 8 came with a carbon fiber hood and I want to replace it with an OEM hood. The ones that I found on the internet are listed as steel/primered. On the "little things" thread here on the forum someone mentioned they liked the aluminum hood..... which is it? BTW if there's anyone in upstate NY that has a black 8 and wants to trade for my CF I'm game....

i just went outside and tried a magnet on the outside and the inside of my hood and would not stick. so i am presuming it is alluminum. mine is a 2004.

The hood and the rear doors are aluminum...

The OEM hood is aluminum.
