Thumbs up Stealing from the Stealership? Kinda?

Story Time: So as of today. Three weeks and three days ago i dropped my 8 off at a Mazda dealership to have my second gear inspected (Due to occasional grind) and a two code check engine light diagnosed. i have an aftermarket warranty so i figure that should cover the issue. A couple days past and they call me with a list of things needing replacement regarding my CEL. They consisted of a new Radiator, all hoses, overflow tank, thermostat housing, all fluids and the cost for labor. This MIRACULOUSLY came out to a total of around 900 dollars. I immediately told them never mind. Leave it. Step away. Don't touch it. I'm not paying that. The man says okay i understand and then proceeds to update me on the transmission side of things. He says i need a new clutch, flywheel and throw out bearing. I again say never mind. When can i come pick my car up. So i go in to pick my car up the next day and he has two sheets of computer paper filled out with numbers and parts and tells me that he would like me to have a look at this. He sits me down and says that my warranty will actually cover a lot of the parts. HERES THE TWIST. The transmission components he quoted me for were all things that needed replacement due to age..... They never even looked at my transmission and for some odd reason my warranty company would not cover the labor to open my transmission to figure out why it was grinding. Instead they would just pay for me to have a NEW transmission installed. Now it was getting interesting, so i jumped on and began bargaining with him. So over the next two and a half weeks we went back and forth figuring out what i would and wouldn't pay for. I denied paying the amount they quoted me so many times that they dropped the parts price and labor prices so much that i couldn't resist. The final price was nailed down about three days ago. I am getting a NEW:
transmission, clutch, clutch plate, flywheel, throw-out bearing, and all parts i listed above regarding my CEL for 1000 dollars. i priced things out online and figured out that i'm getting around 2500 dollars worth of work done for a grand. YES i'm sure all of you will say if i did it on my own i could have saved money. Yes your correct. But i'm not that good yet and i don't have the time. Me getting all of this out of the dealership is the moral of this story. Plan is to get my car back on Monday so WOOHOO. Hope you guys enjoyed

I bet you didn't need a flywheel and the Radiator replacement was just crap.

However, if you haven't replaced the hoses and flushed it, it would be good to do that.
