it goes here, but only for RHD cars. AWillsea has done a great mod to put it in the cigarette lighter outlet.

Replace "Start" with "Eject" and it would make a cool ejection button.

Can someone explain to me why it doesn't fit in the same spot on LHD cars?

If you notice, it will have to replace the "change" compartment, which I hate anyway. I am not left handed and it is a pain for me to get out the change that I need. It usually ends up in the floor.

Now if I could just get the button to completely replace the key ignition. My car is either in the garage or locked. I don't need they keys, I just leave it under the seat anyway.

I have never understood the start button when you still have to turn the key. Is it just to feel/look cool like a racecar or does it serve some purpose?

its just a toy.. you have to put the key in and turn it to on.. not start.

then u push the button like turning the key all the way over to start .

just a silly button

I also do see the point of the start button when you still need to turn the key.
Even my cousin's 1.4 litre Renault Megane has a better system. You just insert a card-key in a slot and push the start button. No key. They also have an option of not even needing to insert a card-key. The car recognises the card wirelessly. That would be cool if they had that on the 8.
