Squeaking coming from wheels?
So recently, when i drive slow, i hear squeaking coming from the car... Would it be brake/rotor related? It is a light high squeak type of sound... My pads looks like it still has some wear left...
but on that note, it might be my rotor as when i brake, itis not smooth now... a little rough.. anybody have other ideas?

Should post this in the "Issues/Problems" subforum as well as search. If the sqeaking is audible during normal slow driving (and not while braking) it would be the first i have heard of something like this. Sqeaking when braking is common with the 8's brakes, there are TONS of threads discussing this.

幹他媽!
my bmw squeaks a lot during slow driving too. but, my car is 10 years old, so i just live with it. but, my boss was complaining his 330i is doing the same thing, and his car is less than a year old.
if anyone knows i'd be curious to know what's causing the squeaking too.

My pads are almost gone and the warning squeek is starting to sound. (15% Left?)
Mine also still squeeks a little even after the brakes are released. Once I change the pads, if the problem persists, I will look in to it further.

Huge hole is huge
My girlfriends 1996 plymoth breeze did it under all sorts of driving. It went away under breaking, though, so I suspected it to be a loose rotor if that makes any sense.

If its just when you drive slow then its most likely the compound of the pads against the rotors however if when you hit the brakes it gets worse then it the squeaker on the pads telling you then need changed on most cars the inside pad wears down faster than the outside that is y the squeaker indicator is on the inside so if you didn't look at the inside but the ouside has a littel prob means it's time to change them out

possible problem
sounds like your wear indicator is touching your rotor of course metal to metal would squeal like your describing you can take the wheel off and look at your callipers and pull the metal indicator tab back a bit that should take the noise away but be aware that you will need pads very soon tipically they tend to touch around 15-18% life left..so be carefull..any other questions call or pm me thanks..

like i said its most likes the pads are just almost there and they get harder the close they get to being gone so if you just remove the top bolt on the caliper and swing it down you can pull the rear pad out and see what it looks like....personally i would change them thill they need it i mean they are still stopping you possible could be a dust shield or something rubbing the rotor just be sure to check out everything even possible a small pebble stuck between the rotor and pads i have seen this way too many time in the winter when i used to live in pa...
