Grats, just make sure you get a compression test and read the new owner's thread.

As emery said read this https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-discuss...t-here-202454/ at least once. Hopefully the car is a manual and has good compression, but do not buy it without a compression test.

Ummm seems like the price is right.
Mileage is really high.

I wouldn't buy it without a compression test being done

Read this

2003-2005 RX8's many engine failures due to low compression
2006-2009 RX8's a bit less

Also it is a 4 speed automatic, which is another reason to stay away from it. If you want an automatic that's fine but get a 2006+ because they have 6 speeds.

Not only that but the newer model has the 6 port engine with almost 20 more hp.

That is exactly why you should get a compression check done ^, with high miles it is a very good idea to make sure the seller isn't selling it because he knows the engine has low compression and needs to be replaced.

Make sure you know what you are getting into before you buy it...If you want to buy an rx8 simply for the looks, that's a bad move...Research before you buy...Hopefully you at least know what a rotary engine is.
