my car left port today! the dealers inventory list as of last week said that my car was due HERE by the 4th week of march. which is the 22-29th. tomorrow is the 22nd! i called my salesman to ask how long itd take to get here but he wasnt avail. just wanted to say HOORAH! and that i hope i beat everyone else in the east coast! hope im the first 2006 owner on the east side!

Congrats!!! You're going to beat me. 
Oh well. 
They "forgot" to install something at port so now they can't give it to me until they "correct" it so that it matches its papers as to what is on it. So I'm not sure what that means for me right now and how it is being fixed. Either someone is supposed to come down and do it or the car goes back 
The dealer said they were working on figuring it all out and getting that "whatever" installed. Either late this week or early next week is my new "guestimate" from them. 
Just as long as it is here by April 1, since I start my new job very soon thereafter.

That makes me wonder if the Mazda dealers in NJ recieved their 06 RX-8s yet. I'm in the market for an 06 8. If they are on their way to the dealers than i guess i'm be on my way as well.

most cars that come off the trucks at a dealer's lots are pretty much forced upon them. any 2006 rx8 that arrives is gonna be by a dealers specific order. mazdas first few 2006s were by order only, which i was one of. since many still have 2005s, there isnt a rush for them to ask for an 06.
my dealers shipments come on wed-thurs mornings. odds are that mine is comin tomorrow or thursday. if not, itll be next wed or thurs

Same with my dealership for the Wednesday mornings as the usual, although they also get them in the evenings sometimes.

yeah i already got my room floor covered with parts. once i sell my current car and im gonna order the brembo big brake upgrade from tirerack
ive dreamed for 2 years of owning a black rx8, white was my second choice but i HAD to get black, i saw me driving it in black, its dark...evil.........mischevious.....once i debadge it ill have all the little ricers confused.
only prob is that its the only color they make w/o any flake in it! come on mazda! spend the money and put some pearl in it!

Congrats RoXanneBlack8!!! How did you get your car's info - did you have to go through your salesman? I'm going nuts waiting on info for mine, but I think it is still in line to be built and still at the order number stage. I'm waiting for that magic that makes Mazda drop everything they are doing just to walk mine through the system, all the while streaming video to my phone of its exact status. I think that cost extra though. : )

The Mazda USA web shows 06 models in the Phoenix area - just not mine. Mine has been built, got my VIN from the dealer but when I entered it on the Mazda web site, it came up as winning blue with fabric so I am waiting to get a new VIN as mine is supposed to be a white GT with Nav.

I drove an 06 yeaterday.

The 05 is faster.
The rumor has it that they no longer ship the new ones with Zoom Zoom, it's now an upgrade. They are trying to figure out how to reinstall it on Bunny's car.

local rx8 clubs? no. i kno of the irishinanrx8 guy, hes is in the rx8 tri state club....im not interested. but i plan on straight up OWNING many "local" road course events. jk.
this mornin we got a shipment of cars....2 cars on the truck were 2006 rx8s but they werent comin to our dealer. by the avergae drop off days of trucks, my car will either be here friday, or this coming weds.....i hope it comes friday, i got big plans on sat, with a new girl.....heh heh
