so i test drove a rx-8 today
hi everybody. i just want to introduce myself. i decided to join this forum after test driving a rx-8 today. WOW. i went to visit my uncle at work because he said they had a lot of used cars come in and i should come look at them. so i went, not expecting too much. i saw the rx-8 and decided to test drive it for ***** and giggles. went on the highway, 635 for those who live in dallas, and drove the hell out of it. i don't know what got into me but i stepped on it and flew past the other cars at 119 on 5th. it was stupid, i know. so anyways, just wanted to let ya know that in about a month or so i can start driving my rx-8
btw, it was the bluish-gray color, i don't know the name of the color, and had 5,000 miles, cloth seats with no nav. i don't know which package.

Aren't you green with envy about the Nordic,
Get the blue's when you find yours is not winning blue,
Or turn cowardly in face of the yellow,
Black probably puts you in a dark mood ...
Even though you picked the wrong color there is a SILVER lining you at least have an RX8.

I personally like all the colors....
While black is a great color, I feel that it hides the lines on the RX-8, so you don't get to see the car's styling as well as with the other colors.
I also think yellow is a bit too loud. It was the only color my wife absolutely hated.

I must agree there a lot of good colors, take your pick.
Or wait for an option to change the color (for silver enter code 0x6f7 and sneak up on the brake and press rapidly ...) !

Yep, I think I had a tough time deciding between blue, gray, silver, green and black, which is just about all of them. In the end, my choice came down to what the dealer had on the lot with the options I wanted. I'm not disappointed one bit.

I heard that Sunlight silver was scientifically proven to be the best color for the RX8.
Titanium gray is OBVIOUSLY the best color :p

depends on what you're buying.
A stock 6M RX-8 will cost you $24,659 at dealer invoice (and you should be able to get this price anywhere, some people even get it lower). The sticker on that car will read a MSRP of $26,680.
So if you're getting a USED 6M base model with 5k miles, that would be a very very bad price. You should expect to pay more around 21-22k tops.
The GT package will add $3,441
Navi: $1,721
Apperance: $775
Rear spoiler: $285
Splash guards: $136
I'd say keep talking down their price or look elsewhere.
