Smell insulation?

Is it just me or does this car not insulate road smells very well? Don't get me wrong, I love the car to death, its just kind of agravating being stuck behind a couple of semi trucks and having their nasty exausts jammed up my nose. Anyone else notice this or am I just crazy?

I actually got stuck behind a diesel the other day and had to switch recirculated air on the climate control to keep from breathing his exhaust. So I definately notice it also, but not too big of a deal.

Stop buying the cheap cabin air filters. Upgrading to the aldehyde filter will solve your problem.

Meh, I just keep it on recirculate any time I'm in heavy traffic or any time I think someone may be smelly (like a really shitty car that's throwing smoke). Most of the time, the roads are a little more open, so I flip it to draw from the outside.

That's exactly what recirc is for. (That… and cooling down the interior quickly when the car's been sitting in the sun (and AFTER you've driven a minute with the windows down). You'd be amazed at how many morons drive around with RECIRC on all the time, as the default setting. Idiots.
