Sigh...The irony of it all...

Ok, bear with me, I drove my lifted 96 Chevy 4x4 for 5 years, sent out the last payment, and hightailed it to my local MAZDA dealer for a test drive on the new 8...Sold! On super bowl Sunday no less!...Anyway, on to the ironic stuff...Love my new ride! And since I got it I park in remote parts of the parking lot, wash/detail it myself, check my own oil and generally dote over it like only a new papa can...So much to my dismay I have run over 2 retread rubber chunks about 6 inches high on the freeway and wet latex paint!!! IRONICLY I never managed to do that in half a decade In my lifted truck!....OK, OK, here's the best part, About 45 days after the purchase I left for work and dropped the first PAYMENT of 60 in the mail, got to work at the bosses house and his / our friend shows up and demands a TEST RIDE in my lightnin yella 8, turns out i forgot he raced formula mazda series (Star racing series) and was goin so ape **** over it I foolishly aggreed to let this dude test drive my ride...Oop's..., Not realising we were in the area he grew up in he preceeded to the nearest twisted road and tossed a turn or 2 and ground second gear when I realised the gravity of my mistake I said enough! And we were less than a block away from the end of this assault when he went inside in a right hander, and just like in a bad dream...WAK!! He smacks a dead bush laying just off the road... ... ... the HORROR!! ...ok. damage was light, lesson was Tough! Make a general rule...NO TEST DRIVES!... So to recap, I get home that night after sending out the 1st payment, -to the test drive from hell, -to find that Mazda had sent me my car kit complete with TOUCH UP PAINT...LOL IRONIC... --MATT

I have let all my friends drive it with me in the car and they drove it within reason. Except for my friend that races miatas and 6's. I had thoughts of the exact same thing happening to me while he was driving. Sorry to hear it.
