wow thanks for the skepticism asses, but actually yes, the salvage was for the bumper, thats why we bought it so cheap, because a salvage is supposed to be 50% damage, this had maybe 15% damage, but now I am stuck obviously with a salvaged title, that however does not make the car bad, absolutely no frame damage.
EDIT:
So what you all could have said before researching my every move is "No, I dont know how much you will get for a salvaged car." But instead u all just acted like jerks. Give yourself a round of applause, god this is why I haven't been on forums in forever, too many little *** brats getting on these days.

I haven't got a clue what it's worth. But I'm curious about how it wound up with a salvage title with so little damage. Do you know the tale? Also, how good a deal did you get when you bought it? That should give some idea about what kind of deal you'll get when you sell it.

Lighten up man. If you take everything that is written on this forum too personally, then the internet is probably not for you.
razz.. thats just way too low... i think u dont know salvage that well..heh... and the reason i am selling it is because I dont want problems to happen later, I got bills to pay, and money is an issue at the moment (stupid problems happened over the year). Its an amazing car, I just dont have the money to maintain it, I made a mistake, it happens.
13-14 sounds about right actually.. i hope 2.. im going to sell in on craigslist and cars.com tomorrow.. I'll tell ya guys how that goes, so if this ever arises again u can refer to this thread ^_^
The tale of the salvage is pretty simple:
Woman drove the car, smashes into car turning left. So the left corner front is damaged and is deemed "not driveable". These terms are very loose when it comes to salvaged cars. 1/2 of salvage cars aren't that bad at all, usually minor things that makes the car "not driveable" as in... fender bender.. which means that the tard who had it before me just didnt want to deal with the car being fixed so she probably had her insurance take care of it, so the IAII (damaged car auction) took it, and I bought it. Seriously, we put 5k into it (after buying it for 10)... fixed the hood, fixed the front corner (both fenders as well), installed a new headlight (1 was completely gone), and that was the end.
Oh, and I just took it to Mazda for a different issue, and after getting some links replaced (weird situation), they said the car is in literally perfect condition, frame and all, everything zeroes out, which they were very impressed with on a salvage car.
So that is why I bought it salvaged, about 2 months after I bought it, that damn engine recall was put into effect (which is great sorta), but it dropped the used 8 price down to the same price of my salvage with the repairs done. Life is cruel

I'll be shocked if you get much more than 10k for it. The biggest problem will be finding someone willing to buy a car with a salvaged title. I'm not sure, but I think financing will be an issue for people on a car with a salvaged title as well.

^ I agree^ Any one in there right mind would never buy a car with a Salvage title.
Therefore your market is too small.
Only those who really know cars and can work on them would be willing to buy it.
Guess what? They gonna pay the least amount of money they can.
Sorry, my quote was only a guess. I would not pay 10k because I am not that car expert. I need more money if the salvage car becomes a problem. Ok, I offer 6k....
else I get a used 04 for 12k.
I would say anywhere from $3k to $6.5k
Mainly becauses its a Salvage.
The seller will say...its almost new..or like new..or all this parts have been replace....bottom line ..its still a used salvage car
Now listen to someone who knows salvage cars.
I have bought 2 of them, still have them both.
1993 Storm GSi
1995 MX-3 RS
The RS is my daily driver but since I am a swing trader, I put about 20 miles a week on my ride. Ya, some weeks I dont put in that much. I do a few trips of about 350 miles from Houston to South Texas. ( about 4-6 trips a year)
A salvage car always has some quirt in it. It is like the person who has had health problems and when the weather is about to change, some body part hurts. etc. We all have a relative like that.
I will never buy a salvage car, no matter what the price is. Not worth my time.
Unless its an auto. Then I don't even want to look at it.

I'm not sure what the hostility is about. Some people on here are acting like he's trying to fool you. The seller is being honest. Even gave you the scoop on what happened. That's more than most would offer up.
He's right. I have a few friends that work for insurance companies. Someone wrecks their new car and they don't want it anymore. They know that if they held on to it, the title would show that it's been in an accident, thereby decreasing the resale value, dramatically. I know that if someone hit my brand new RX-8, I'd want a new one. Especially if it wasn't my fault. I'd demand it.
There's also the opposite end of the spectrum... shady sellers. I ran into a few people in my days that didn't tell me the car was salvage... I had to look up the vin. If anyone is seriously considering buying a salvage title, try to get photos of the vehicle before it was fixed. Also look at receipts and a list of parts replaced.
Being that you (the seller) planned on reselling this vehicle when you purchased it, you should have plenty of documentation on the repairs. The more questions you answer without having to be asked, the more likely you are to sell it. Just make sure you give it a full detail and take some extremely high quality pictures to show that the fix was done right.
Considering where the market is right now for the 04s... non-salvage I would put it at $15,500-$16,000... with the salvage title... I think you can pull in $11,000. It depends on your area too. I think the average decrease for a salvage title, provided everything is professionally repaired, is about 30%.
