The SECRET to HIGHER HP AND BETTER MILEAGE!
Check this out - this is all you have to do! Notice this way cool modification that will give you more horsepower (up to 35%!) and better fuel mileage (up to 20%).
And notice how well it mounts to the 5.7 Liter Hemi in the RX8!
Oy, please tell me we are all smarter than this ...

nm, you edited right as I posted. Yeah, that is pretty gay.
Not the first or last time we'll see something like that. If you're going to sell a crap product on eBay, take the effort to shoot a pic in the correct engine bay people. Please...

Besides the engine picture, the least they could have done is post mileage test numbers for an RX-8. Maybe a before and after dyno graphs.
Oh, you mean to say this is not a real product? I'm shocked!

the feedback is for how well the vendor delivers and how fast he ships, not the quality of his products
anyone stupid enough to buy one of these deserves to get swindled out of their money.

I would think the thing would more like a restrictor plate (i.e. in Nascar) than it would enhance things - it does cut down the aperture of the intake by quite a bit. Even I know that cutting down the diameter of the intake stream will cut down the air delivered to the engine.
Ages ago (like 25 years), I had a 1979 VW Scirocco with a 1.8 (or 1.6 - don't remember now) liter engine and Bosch CIS fuel injection. The best mod ever you could make to that engine was a Weber "Big Throat" throttle body - it increased the diameter of the primary and secondary throttle butterflies by something like 60% and that alone was good for a solid 15 horses - this back in the day of no engine computers, mass airflow sensors, etc. The fuel injection spray volume (CIS stood for Constant Injection Spray - the injectors just simply sprayed fuel at the intake ports all the time - you think RX-8s have a flooding issue? Oy, should have driven a scirocco!) was simply determined by engine vaccuum - open the throttle and the engine "sucked" more, which pulled on a crude flap attached to an arm in the airbox - the harder the wind going past that flap, the more fuel got sprayed. It worked amazingly well other than the flooding problems, which like the RX-8 was entirely preventable by avoiding killing the engine, restarting it when cold, etc.
Sorry for the ADD moment there and off-topic story, but just thought of it.

A quick search for "vortex" brought up four or five threads about this. But one that I missed was a link to an article in a reputable auto magazine that did dyno test this item and several others making similar claims (the magnetic molecular re-arranger, et al).
All are bogus.
Does anyone recall that article and can give a hyperlink?

here you go

I wonder if there's any way to get ebay to ban that guy from selling that stuff.

eBay will only ban people that don't make legitimate transactions, but not people who sell crap products. Their official stance on that stuff is "the market will vote on it".

Those things make your car less efficient. Here's why in simple terms. As we know the more you drink alcohol, the more the world around you starts to spin. In reverse, the more the world starts to spin, the more you must have had to drink. Since the air is spinning, it must therefore be drinking more fuel which means less gas mileage, slower response time, and less total potential. It is in essence making your engine drunk. If you actually believe any of this, I've got some mountain side ski resort property in Galveston, TX I'd like to show you.
