Saw a Carrera GT on the road today...

It was dark black and spotless. Honestly one of the most gorgeous cars I've personally seen on the road. The noise that baby makes is heavenly. For those of you who live in Orange County, I saw it on the Southbound 55 just before the 405.

And to best honest, if I had seen it before I got my 8, I would have admired it but been green with envy all over. But now, I admired it and though, "yeah I've got a super car too."

What does "jumping a wall" have to do with cars even? I got closer.

And I did mention my 8 in the original post.

I live outside of Detroit and had a bright yellow pass through my town. I live right by the supercar plant and always see tons of the Ford GT 40's out and about also.

I actually live about 1.5miles from a place called DC Motors. The place is famous here in Socal. Their inventory is amazing: www.dontdrivejunk.com

About 6 weeks ago I was somewhere in Huntington Beach and saw a Bright Green Murcielago parked right next to a Black SLR. Killer cars, but they look alot smaller in person. But this Carrera GT was a MONSTER in person. I honestly cannot see how anyone could even park that in a normal space.

Awesome car, not that much of an unusual sight though, at least not where I am.

So it was dark black as opposed to light black?

P.S. I just hurt two cute fluffy animals thanks to you.

Let me rephrase, there are different blacks in the way they catch and reflect light. In the case of this Carrera GT, it seemed to suck in all the light around it and reflect none. I'm sure you've seen black cars from different manufacturers whose degree of "blackness" was very different.

I saw one today too close to santa barbara going north on the 101, at least that's what I think it was, no other supercar out there today that has a wing on it (at least one that's common)

for some reason I've seen a ton of supercars lately in an area that has only one native DB9 and one native F430, and that's it.

I don't get out of the house enough, it seems. Where is it that you see Griffey at?

I see a silver one almost every morning when I am out with the dog. Speed limit here is 25 mph. I always have to laugh cause it sounds like he goes by in first gear.

I see a lot of Ferraris, Lambos, Masaratis and Aston Martins all the time. But I saw only 2 Carrera GTs (1 grey and 1 black) and one Ford GT on the road. That Carrera GT is a thing of beauty. I had one pass by me while I was waiting at the crosswalk. It sounds really sweet.

Lately I've been seeing a bunch of Maseratis... at least 1 a day, driven by someone different.

There are a hell of a lot of super-exotics up here in the Bay Area... saw a Diablo VT a few days ago, and I see Lambos and Ferraris frequently... saw one GT though.

Maseratis aren't THAT cool, at least not the coupes, they look kinda ugly and japanese-ish to me, like something anyone would drive.

The quattroporte tho... now that's class. But alas like all italian cars they have many a problem so they're not worth owning. Imagine an italian-built wankel engine!! and you thought flooding was the worst of your worries...

Wow, we don't get many of them supercars down here in Beaufort, SC. The nicest thing I have seen was a porsche gt2. Actually, I didnt even see it but was driving with my brother and he claimed he saw it. I did see about 10 Ferarris in Italy a couple years ago however.

A few weeks ago at VIR I took a ride with my instructor in his NSX. It was unbelievably fast. He took the uphill esses about as fast as I took the straights. On the first lap I re-tightened my shoulder straps more than once.

The only car that passed him was a Porsche GT2.

I saw an orange Gallardo on my way home from work on the Fourth (skipped out at 7 p.m.). I ended up stopped at a light waiting to turn to go over the bridge. He was in the lane to the left of me.

I saw a yellow Modena in my parking garage at work last week also in employee parking. It didn't have one of those window cling parking permits in the back window, so I don't think it was an employee. I hope security didn't have him towed.

he should be towed for having a yellow ferrari, you can't have a ferrari if it's not going to be in red.
