Just to start, recently I have been looking for a new car... My two main choices were the Subaru WRX (Tuned/modded) and the Acura TL ( Modded ), the Subaru was incredibly fast although if I switch gears there's a major amount of G-force, and the ride just doesn't feel as smooth as the RX-8. The Acura... I just wanted it because of its features and status. ... Anywho. After months of debate I decided that I was going to stick with the Rx-8. Because after having the RX8, no other cars feel like they handle the same.... I'm just madly in love with my 8.

So instead of buying another car, I decided to begin to put my money into my 8 again. I finished most of the internal mods, along with a banging sound system, and I left the aesthetics to last. So I'm here to ask you about your advice on several new mods... Please keep in mind t hat I'm a daily-driver, and I would rather have MPG then performance, unless the performance difference is substantial. Here is my list, please give suggestions because it is greatly appreciated!

I am cost conscious--- Meaning cheap, however if the performance is pretty damn good- Then I will have no problem paying extra... I mean.... This car has not been easy on my wallet, but it is worth every dollar.

Spoiler - I have the factory spoiler but I want to switch to a higher carbon fiber wing, does anyone know of a spoiler that would fit the factory holes? It doesn't have to be carbon fiber - And I mean something like this

Body Kit: I was planning to get an I-spec Duraflex Body Kit. Any opinions or your own tastes/comments on other bodykits would be greatly appreciated as well. I prefer an aggressive look. Like plain- But sexy. You know. Cept for that spoiler. I might just get the sideskirt- And the front lip.

Turbo kit: Y/N? I'm still on the fence about this because I'd like to keep my mileage.... However bad it may be... And I don't know much about turbo kits. So a little background information would be greatly appreciated.... And by background information, I mean- Not stuff you would regularly read on the web.. Just personal experiences. And I know you can read that too- But it's nice to have YOUR personal experience.

Lambo Door Kit: Watched the installation.. I might get someone else to do it for me after watching it... What do you think? I personally like it.

Rims: 19 inches, no chrome. God I hate chrome on an 8 I was thinking something like this...

My opinion (and shared by most members here) is the body kit, lambo doors and "rims" that weigh as much as boat anchors will get you laughed at. You bought a quality sports car, not a civic. If you're serious about a turbo, I have some other links for you to read seeing as how its clear you haven't done any yet.

I can only give you my opinion just like yours is the only one that matters for your car. I'll start with the lambo doors. Imo lambo doors only look good on cars when there's only the bottom of the door moving. Meaning there's no part of the body around the window. Like a celica for instance. It would look better on a celica than an 8 but i would do it on neither. As far as body kits go i only really like the mazdaspeed kit. I do however like the seibon CF hood that looks like the stock one with the vents (forgot the name) but i would paint it. As far as wings go (flame suit on) i have the evo VIII wing on mine and love it. (which is what matters) since you said you're conscious of cost I.E cheap (your words) i wouldn't turbo your car. Very costly and unless you can afford engine rebuilds a recipe for disaster. Imo not worth it but i don't have the skills for it so i stay away from that. Some people made it work but others just made it a money pit. But it's your car so do what you want.

they are ricey as **** and you look like a complete douche when you get into and out of your car

Thank you for your suggestions. Does anyone know spoilers that will fit factory holes? The rims are just my personal taste, really. I may not be trying for the turbo kit at the moment, but the carbon fiber hood will have to wait. If I'm not mistaken the hood is made of aluminum which is already lighter than the carbon fiber hood.

The lambo doors could wait as well. Although that's my personal taste. And I left it in this thread because this is multiple upgrades- Rather than just starting single threads in their subcategories. It's to keep the information condensed.

I've also read those two threads already- I wanted to focus on the aesthetics rather than over-all performance of the car.

OP, I sure hope you can see that this is going to get ugly. Most people here (myself included) think the mods you're interested in are useless, ugly, and ricey. You say you're interested in asthetics; have you looked at the RX-8? Its ******* awesome looking.

The key to improving on that is subtlety.

May want to look elsewhere.
