I don't think I could subject my 8 to that, but to each their own.

That's sweet. I've looked around on this site a little for bike racks before and from what I remember (which could be wrong) not a lot of people have found any good racks. Thanks for the info and pics. How much noticeable difference (in handling, etc.) does it make with the rack on and then with the rack and bike on?

I couldn't do this to mine! But it's up to the owner at the end of the day.

one person asked me if i was carrying a machine gun when carrier was laid flat with no bike on it
I'd have said yes....it was!

Man that is a cool fit. zNice setup. I dont cycle unless it has a motor but I have to hand it to you, it does look sweet. be careful though when going under low bridges. hmm, it happened to me once, not a bicycle, but damn wish it was. My motorcycle didnt fare well from an upper impact. heh, anyways,

it is what it is,
later,
Ronnie

just fitted racks to mine, ended up with a thule 134 foot/clamp kit for an isuzu rodeo, run backwards lol, but it works. going to be used for carrying my dh bike. going to try and track down a fender for the front of them to dress it up a bit more.

Nice! I have a Yakima Roof Rack and works great, but I was shocked at fuel consumption. Put two bikes up there and I got like 16mpg on the highway and could feel the car struggling when driving into the wind.

mmmm, i don't think i would do that to my car either!!!! The size of the rack/bike is not proportionate to the size of the car I guess.

But hey, if it works it works!

Might get more bird poop. jk

Reminds me of those Porsche commercials where the driver transports a mattress on the roof.

Same junk, without side windows (they pay much less tax if it's classified as a 'van')

Holden WB, just Google/Images/Holden van.
