My car's battery was almost fully discharged, so I got a jump and overnight charged it at 2 amps. Placed it in the car and ran it, but now at stop or idle it jumps to 500 rpm then goes back up to about 750. It happens mostly when ac/radio is on. I recently got a new cat, plugs, coils, wires, and fuel pump so if anything those are probably not the culprits. I read a couple threads stating this kind of problem usually refers to the car's ecu relearning idle. What do you guys think?

that's the culprit. 2-3 drive cycles should get your trims sorted

Just as a precaution, reset the e-shaft sensor profile too.

After 4 drive cycles my cel came on, maybe maf needs to be cleaned but also its still hitting 500 rpm at stop? Ill try reset e shaft sensor when I get home

I think I may have the solution, i noticed with the car running and all my lights on it was flickering and sometimes ignition took awhile. I checked teh battery and one terminal was kinda loose so i tightened up and now it seems ok. Will check some more later today.

not being any kind of 8 expert yet, i would have my alternator tested. every time my battery dies that is my first suspect.
