Rough Idle

Anyone recently bring the 8 in for the recall Ball Joint/Fuel Tank Blanket and when you got it back have a rough idle and a problem with 8 accepting the gear shift into fourth gear?! I was pretty annoyed that the dealer didn't advise me of any work they did on the 8, I guess I should have asked.

Did that about a month ago; fuel tank, ball-joint inspection and they also did the "R" flash. Since then, can't tell a bit of difference. Car still runs good and goes like h*ll.

Yes, since you mentioned it. I went in for the fuel tank recall (which they said required an updated flash) and an oil change. I have noticed a rough idle and it seems to be getting worse. It also wants to stall and is rough the first time I start out in first. I am thinking about taking it back to the dealership about this. I am filling the gas tank up a few times to see if this is affecting my gas mileage. They also over filled the oil when the oil change was done. Geesh, I hope this isn't the beginning of a headache that won't get better. They better not have screwed up my perfect running car. Haven't had any problems until now.

I actually noticed the opposite. My idle seems smoother after the re-flash. Wasn't too bad before but much better now.

My idle got rough too. It may be in my head, but the car seems slower as well. I liked my N flash that I had before.
