Rotary Noob first post!

Well, new forum, new car, new engine type. Not often you can say that especially in relation to the engine but here I am. I just took delivery of a Stormy Blue Mica 2007 RX-8 with the Mazdaspeed package and the Sand leather interior. Beautiful car, amazing interior, wonderful handling and that silky smooth revving engine is a truly amazing piece of engineering. This is my second Mazda having previously owned a Classic Red 1990 Miata which I loved but lost in the divorce. My other current ride is a 2005 Suzuki Hayabusa and I am passing on my 2002 Nissan Spec V Sentra to my oldest son who just got his drivers license. I am now educating myself as to all the interesting details about this car and engine and hope to be up to speed soon enough! Glad to be here. BTW, I love bicycles too with a garage full of them....

Hey, as much as I love cars (and that's a LOT) there is NOTHING that matches the thrill of cracking the throttle of the Mighty Busa! It is so overwhelming that it's impossible to describe to those who haven't ridden one.....the best I can do is the Star Wars reference to the Millenium Falcon jumping to lightspeed.....addictive but it spoils you to most other vehicles as they pale in comparison. Bought the RX-8 for the cornering and maybe some autox and just because its so nice to look at and sit in....kind of like a little jet. I can assume that most of the owners on here are a bit on the **** side in terms of details and organization as this car does seem to ask that from what I have read. I do fall in that category.

Oh, and btw, am I the only one who doesn't trust the keycard to lock the car? I have never had a car with one of these and its only been a couple of days so maybe I just have to get used to it.....

I'm working on the pics but by the time I get home from work I am losing all the daylight so this amazing blue paint is being lost in translation! This weekend I will post em up.
