Replacement tire kit cost?

Hi everyone, been a lurker here for a few months. I'm looking at getting a 40th anniversary 8, but the tire inflator kit in the trunk is missing. Does anyone know how much that costs? I think I'm going to get the dealer to mark down the price.

Also, how much is an owners manual? I know you can print them from mazda, but thought I might ask for that as a discount as well.

Thanks for the help everyone. And I did try searching...

you can order a manual from mazda, not sure on the cost.
as for the tire inflator kit, don't replace it. using that does more harm then good. get AAA or purchase some run flat tires if you're really worried. think of how often you drive someplace without your cel phone or in walking distance of a phone.

The tire inflator kit consists of a can of fix-a-flat and a compressor. I would look into a spare tire kit if this is going to be your daily driver. I have seen them listed on ebay for as little as $200. If not go to pep boys and buy a tire inflator/compressor and a can of fix-a-flat it should cost no more than $20. An owners manual can most likely be found on ebay as well. I just purchased one for a grand cherokee that I use as my daily driver. I believe I spent $10 for the manual. Good luck!

Thanks for the responses. I was trying to find the mazda cost since I figured it could be steep. I was going to then ask the dealer to discount the price of the car.

Otherwise I agree with you guys.

You should be able to get a list price on the tire inflator kit from one of the dealers that does on-line sales. Or try the parts deparment of the dealer you're getting the car from. Good luck on the negotiation...hope it doesn't wind up with the dealer just giving you the kit instead of a better deal.

If you think you might actually use that kit, terch1's suggestion of a compressor and can of fix-a-flat at Pep Boys makes sense. The tire is done for if you use the stuff, so it doesn't matter which stuff. Generic fix-a-flat is more likely to ruin the tire pressure sensor, but the cost of a sensor has to be way less than the price of a genuine Mazda kit.

FWIW, I belong to AAA and also bought a plug kit for emergencies. I figure I'll use the compressor in the Mazda kit, but doubt if I'd use the glop.
