Radiator(s), what's up?

I went to a Mazda dealer today in Glendale, CA and saw a beautiful, fully loaded yellow 8. Upon closer inspection, I noticed there was what it seemed to be 2 small radiators on opossite ends of the front bumper, looked like small intercoolers. Of course since this car isn't turbo charged, then I'm lead to think that they are infact 2 radiators for the engine. Or, on for the engine, the other one for the AC, but they were both the same size.

Thanks

- Carlos

Knightkarr, did you ask the price for the yellow 8? Dose it sell for msrp? The reason i ask that because i per-ordered my 8 at Star Mazda in Glendale. Unfortunately, my pervious saleman he did not work for Star Mazda any more. So i don't know i would get my 8 for msrp or not. I just worry about that because i had been waiting for this car three years already.

the a/c should be typically in front of the radiator and the other smaller mini radiators are used to cool off the oil that is soooo vital to the health and performance of a rotary engine. A lot of heat is transfered into the oil so the cooler the better for engine health.

Yup, oil coolers. Pretty cool how the RX-8 comes standard w/ dual oil coolers. You have to get an R1/R2 to get dual oil coolers in the RX-7.

I think the automatic only has 1, whereas the MT comes standard with 2.

Yeah, it was selling for $37,500, the msrp was 33,xxx, but the dealer tinted the rear windows and put some rims. So all in all, the car was like 34,5xx. Not bad mark-up.
