Well I started a thread before this and sounded like a complete idiot so I thought id retry...
sorry for all those that where in the last thread I will try to know my story better next time lol.
anyway bought a 2011 R3 Rx8 with 275 miles on it for 21,000... it has a salvage title as of now and trying to get somewhat of a clear title... I have proof of everything that was done to the car when it was stolen from the factory drivin 8 miles parked and having the wheels and seats stolen from the vehicle, it still had all the packaging stuff on it to protect it from shipping lol,
but thats my story sorry I sounded like a jackass in my last thread
PEACE!
oh and sorry for the bad pics (retarded camera)

Personally, I would never buy a car with a salvaged title. Some insurance companies might give you a hard time with premium rates, as well as some banks with their loan rates.
At times getting a clear title form a salvaged one is quite a pain too - although not impossible.
Also, I do not understand why this car has a salvaged title because of theft of the wheels and seats.
Did they significantly destroy other parts of the car trying to steal theses items?
Seems weird that the dealer wouldn't have just put a new set of wheels on it, and some seats and re-sell it. Salvage title? Really? Anyway, yes those wheels make me thow up in my mouth a little, but you have a nice car there.

Well all I know is that the car was virtually brand new when I bought it, and in North Dakota you can get granted a somewhat of a clear title if you have proof of what had happend to the car and have a highway patrol inspect the vehicle to make sure its road worthy.
The Insurance company that we have said if we had proof of what happend (just like the DOT business) it wouldnt be that big of a deal. So its covered.
To answer the other question, No nothing else was damaged there are scratches on the floor board where they ripped the seats out, and a little damage from where they jacked it up (idiots) haha.
I think its technically called a Branded Title... which may be the same thing, im not sure.

yea, im hoping to pick up some new ones very very soon lol, and I couldnt answer your question, all I know is the only thing that I cant get for the car is the dealer warranty.
Maybe I'm partial but I'd like to see some killer 19" Forgestar F14's on an R3, your's would look good with gloss black
Only 5lbs a wheel heavier than stock R3 wheels too
Here's the 19x8.5 - 23.8 lbs. The 19x10 weighs 25.

If srs, depends on width, but it looks like you can get them in all sorts of different offsets. I'd go 19x9 +45, but then again I'd never spend $400+/corner on a heavier wheel than stock when you can get used R3 wheels for about the same price...
well if you get me a set of volk te37's in black and red lettering ill trade ya my r3 stock rims =)

Interesting situation.
I really hope you can work things out. The car does have VERY low miles, so that's a plus.
Try to get the original wheels if at all possible. That - along with the Recaros - is what makes the R3s unique. Plenty of aftermarket options for sure int he wheel department, but I guess I'm a purist when it comes to the R3. The OE wheels are really awesome.

I would really love to find the factory wheels but there pretty spendy... if anyone sees some good ones for sale please let me know!
Truth is your going to be really hard pressed to find a suitable replacement cheap for the factory BBS, as they are light and strong and look good too. GLW the search.
Haven't seen your last thread. Anyway, just try to make it better even though it has a salvage title, and try to change the chrome wheels, it's kinda pimpin' with it...lol

Do you know any replacement ones that cost less but weight and stuff is around the same?
