Passenger Door Lock Acuator Info

The Actuator has a little old school radio shack type motor in it.
The big white gear has a tension spring attached. If it spins clockwise to counterclockwise the gear has resistance at all times.
Any motor will fail with time having resistance on it at all times.
Motors are meant to spin freely.

But if anyone can find a replacement little tiny motor that would be easy to replace.
but in the mean time this is all we can do...

click this link below.

LOCK RT, DOOR (FE02-58-310D) - $108.10 - FE0258310D

Hope that helps..
Brian

Hi,

Is there a step by step instruction to re-assemble the gearmotor once opened?

I have the same problem with my driver's door. But mine works when the temperature is below freezing so it makes sense to just be the cables have slightly stretched.

The crappy *** motors in the lock assy don't have enough power to cycle the lock mech. Lube the door lock parts on the outside of door, replace the two motor assy's with Mazda 6 parts.
Fixed my problems, doors lock and unlock, horn chirps and marker lamps flash again.
Also if your 8 is older while you have the door panels off rebuild the window motors with replacement gears.
