Looking for an advice regarding adding performance exhaust (Borla or Greddy SP2) and cold air intake (KN). How much additional HP shall I expect and is it worth it? I have an 04 RX8 Automatic. Thanks.

Don't expect more than 3-5hp tops on either of those two mods. Most people do the intake and/or the exhaust for sound only and maybe some looks...........with the added very small bonus of some slight hp increase. You pick the wrong on and it could go down. Mazda did a pretty good job with this car, so unless you are going FI, that's about it. There are some others such as lightened flywheel, etc., but even those aren't going to do much. Is it worth it.................that's what you have to decide.

Most of all, spend some time in the aftermarket performance section of the site and do some reading.

HP increase next to nothing. Noise from the Greddy exhaust, loud. Borla, sweet.
If you want a intake either get he Racing Beat CAI and Duct, or the Mazdaspeed/AEM CAI. All of these will net you maybe 5 HP. But it will sound a lot better.

I love the sound form my Greddy SP2 and AEM intake. It is well under 95 DB.

Yea there isnt much of a gain. I have an MT and I have a K&N typhoon and an RP midpipe. Its a whole lot of noise and flames It feels.....smoother......but not so much faster. It feels like it picks up at 8500 but then I shift at 9200 so is it worth it, yes bc shooting flames when I shift from 2nd to 3rd WITH the stock exhaust was worth $400 to me (combined). Search and find deals. Walk into kragens and work them and youll get a typhoon for under $250. I got my midpipe used for $160. My buddy installed it for free.
