I was about to get the MR2 when it first came out. I did'nt get it for one reason. NO FREAKEN STORAGE. That car has no trunk.
I purchased a Miata and I can say I am still happy with the decision. You can put 90.00 worth of groceries in that little thing.

I hope this helps

my lil sister just picked up a new mr2 this past friday. i've been teaching her how to rev match and such so her shifts are smoother. the tranny feels nice, not as good as the miata tho. car has great balance and really feels like a midship car. it's zippy but by no means a monster yearning to get out. and about the no storage space...yeah there is literally no storage space...the largest being the two little bins behind the seats. the wind with the top down is a bit annoying, wraps around the a-pillar and blasts you in the side of the face.

I can't immagine why one would compare the RX-8 and MR2. They're VERY different. It seems to me that a person who would pick one wouldn't seriously consider the other. Someone who would buy a Spyder obviously doesn't need or want four seats, a roomy driver's seat, a trunk or much straight-line performance. They're not even in the same price range!
