Couldn't find anything, so my question for the 06 owners out there- I know you can program the remote to do different things, (like auto-lock) but does anyone have any examples of what they have done other then that? This is what I'm really looking for-
Its a hot June day, and after the car has been in the sun for a few hours, sitting on leather is like sitting in boiling tar. Many people crack their windows yes, but I don't for fear of occurences similar to the 'Have you ever experienced an envy crime?' thread. I can imagine someone cracking an egg and dripping it through the window, and that would be the most un-godly smell I can imagine. What I really want to know is can you program a button on the remote to open your windows and/or open the sunroof? Aka inserting the key on some VW's and turning the key a certain way to open all the windows. Anyone know if this or something similar is possible?

I really don't think so unless you had different buttons than what come on the key. The key comes with lock, unlock, trunk, panic.
It you want windows open but not wanting people to really be able to access you car pop open the back windows and push tilt for the moonroof. It opens up the back and tilts it, which gives venting for air.
A company called AlienTech makes an add-on controller module for VW's (and maybe others) that will allow you to press a certain sequence of buttons on the remote to do different things like roll up/down windows, open sunroof, etc.
It may work for VW since they already have a similar functionality built into their electronics (turn the key in the door lock for a few seconds to roll up or down the windows) but it's worth a shot to see if they have an application for our cars.
