Potentail RX-8 Buyer needs help!

My college age son is looking at several used RX-8's. Most are in the '04-'05 range. What are some of the concerns, such as maintenance history, questions for dealer, etc. that I should be aware of? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have no experience with Mazda's or rotary engines. Thanks in advance, Jeff

PS Can't wait to test drive one. I spend my time between a diesel pickup and a Toyota Prius!

Enjoy the test drive. Leave your checkbook home if you don't want to buy it on the spot.

Isn't there a disclaimer that a prius owner cannot own a rx8? I think I read that in the new tax law somewhere. ;-). Good luck. And the first ride is for free, the second one cost money.

A Prius owner can - and should - move up to an RX-8. It's called salvation.
