Picked up my RX 8

Just picked up my 2004 Nordic Green/Black Leather GT 6 speed w/9600 miles in New Jersey last week and drove it home to eastern Washington state. Love the car (Former 1994 RX7 owner until 1 month ago, engine fire, totalled), it drove great. We averaged 20.2 for the 3032 miles and drove around 80 most of the way. When I first started this forum, several asked about the difference between the 7 and the 8 and overall I think I like the 8 a little better. Less hard core, more user friendly, deffinitely more comfortable, not as fast but a fun great car. Got it home and did a clean up with Zymol (first time iv'e used it) and was very impressed with the way it came out, no swirls and some light surface scratches gone. Was on the 7 forum for years and really appreiciate all of the info. Getting ready to install the clear corners and the thread for that is great. thanks to all.

Welcome! I admired the RX7 back in the day but I was just a poor college student at the time and couldn't afford one. You're lucky to have driven both. If I would of known more about the rotary like I do now (thanks to this great forum), I would of robbed my own mother to buy one.

It was sad to lose the 7, it only had 49,000, we had it for 6 years and the insurance paid us a 1,000 more than we paid for it in 2000. it would push 150mph (so I'm told).

3000+ miles??? Thats a long *** drive, I don't even want to know how much you spent on gas. You must have gotten a great deal in jersey. Anyways, congrtas and have fun modding.
