Parts availability if I buy new RX-8
Will parts be readily and economically available for the RX-8 if I buy a new one today? I would probably keep it for my customary 10 years. I'm deciding between trading in my 2004 (bought in 2003) RX-8 and buying a new one, or a BMW 135 Nissan 370Z as I don't trust the reliability of a 9 year old car.

Sorry meant 2004. I meant repair parts since the RX-8 is being discontinued. i"m not sure how long replacements parts will be easily available in 10 years. This my affect may choice of car.

Voids warranties
There are very few cars, in production or out of production, that you cannot get parts for aftermarket. I personally wouldn't be too concerned about it.

I HATE SPEEDBUMPS!
They still have parts for antique and very old cars, why not for an 04 rx8? There would be parts for the car within...let's say 10 years from now, you just got to search for it.

I'm pretty sure that Federal law compels manufacturers to supply spare parts for at least as long as the warranty period of the last item sold. So, that's at least a minimum of 8 more years for the engine core parts. I'd imagine there would be spare parts for years beyond that, too. Are the RX7 guys having any troubles from Mazda on parts?
