Painting my engine cover and sway bar

Im pretty sure theres a forum for this, Can anyone point me in that direction? I checked the DIY forums but didnt find anything so if u can just send me the link then that would be cool.

I wanted to paint my plastic engine cover and also wanted to paint my sway bar, both are to be painted red. Im pretty sure i have to use a sertnt type of high heat paint but im not really sure how to go about doing this or what kind of paint to buy. Thanks for the help its much appreciated.

I used caliper paint (Dupli-Color spray paint) on my engine cover and strut bar and it has held up perfectly.

you could probably use any high heat engine enamel I bet.

Its call Multi-cast... made by duplicolor... got it at autozone... its a 2 phase paint. I sanded it to rough it up.. cleaned up all the dust.. then sprayed the first couple of coats which looks like a silver... let that dry completely.. then spayed the clear purple... the silver shines through... i thought it turned out pretty well...

Just take your time and add light coats a little at a time.
